Neylo had been traveling around this unfamiliar planet he was on in hopes of rectifying that same unfamiliarity and potentially finding someone that could explain to him where, exactly, he was. His travels led him to a snow covered village in the northern part of the planet. He floated above the village, getting a birds-eye view of the place when he noticed something.
There was a large commotion on the other side of town. Several large thugs armed with weapons of some kind were attacking the town. Villagers, who had no form of armaments, were being shot and killed.
Neylo's expression shifted to one of anger. Innocent lives being taken was something that really rubbed him the wrong way. With all speed he rushed down between the gunmen and the villagers. He made sure to throw a few blasts in between them to create some smoke cover for his entrance.
Both sides stood silent as the smoke cleared and the tall, sleek looking red warrior stood between them. "If there's one thing I can' stand i's blokes like you lot. Ge' ready to pay for these crimes!"
"Teach him what the Red Ribbon does to heroes, gang!" Their would-be leader shouted at them as he raised his gun. A hail of bullets flew from their barrels directly at Neylo. His aura burst to life around him and immediately went still, hardening like drying concrete. The bullets connected with his aura and went no further. They crumpled against his Aura Shard technique and fell to the ground at his feet.
Their gunfire ceased for a moment so they could assess the damage they'd done. The smoke from their gunfire cleared and Neylo was still standing, completely unscathed. His aura had dissipated when he released his technique. "Now i's my turn!" Neylo shouted.
His body moved with his full speed and strength behind it, sprinting straight for the leader of the group. On the last step Neylo twisted his body and planted his right foot on the ground. He slid while spinning and extended his left leg. His left foot lammed heel first into the sternum of the leader and sent him rolling back through the snow, breathless and in serious pain.
He wasted no time on their sad excuse for a leader and moved to put his underlings in their place as well. Without missing a beat he planted the foot he'd used to kick their leader on the ground and kicked off towards the soldier next to him. He gave a fierce downward chop to the collarbone of the soldier, forcing the thug to the ground face first. His collarbone was cracked on the initial impact.
Neylo's combo wouldn't stop after two men down, though. He followed through with the chop so that his upper body was perpendicular to his lower body at the hip. He turned his whole body back in the other direction and extended his arm for a devastating backfist to the temple of the third Red Ribbon gang member. She was knocked unconscious and landed flat in the snow.
He kept sprinting forward and leaped into the air. This soldier had gotten ready to fight back by this time, and he unloaded another volley of bullets at Neylo. Neylo kicked the gun upward as he did a backflip in mid-leap. Using the skill of flight he continued his backflip towards his opponent and delivered a mighty kick to his chin, lifting him a couple of feet off the ground. He fell in a fully unconscious slump in front of the red alien.
He caught the rifle that he'd kicked into the air earlier as he landed back on his feet. With a smirk on his face he bent it at a ninety degree angle in the middle and chucked it with all his strength at the fifth member in the line. It slammed into his chest and knocked him flat.
Seeing this absurd display of ability, the remaining to members saw fit to cut their losses. They grabbed the two unconscious soldiers and helped the others to their feet. "You haven't seen the last of us! Their leader shouted as they fled.
Tha's their one chance. If they do anythin' like this again an' I find ou' abou' i'....they'll no' find me so forgivin' the next time. He thinks as they run away. The villagers are quick to inform Neylo of what's really going on. The Red Ribbon's remnants would definitely retaliate against this resistance in full force. Today was only one squad. Tomorrow would be a whole platoon, probably with bigger firepower.
