Sixteen was sitting outside of the Capsule Corps. Building watching birds fly about overhead and in the trees. One could land in his hand occasionally and take some of the bird feed he was holding out for them. He was simply enjoying another sunny day on Earth, something he hadn't been able to during the time Cell was running around.
He wondered if Seventeen and Eighteen had been brought back like he had. As far as he knew they had been absorbed by Cell and then destroyed with the monster when he was defeated. Sixteen still hadn't been able to find all the details on the battle with Cell anyway, but his curiosity was the only thing that kept him interested in that time to begin with. He was just as well forgetting about it and living on with his new beginning.

The sun shined over West City and clouds floated by in the sky casually as Android 18 walked down one of the major streets of the town. This street got a lot of pedestrian and automobile traffic, and though she walked with her head down in thought and her arms folded across her chest, people seemed to know not to bump into her. Perhaps they were just uncommonly polite here.
Why haven't either of them come looking for me? She was referring to her brother and brother-figure who had recently somehow escaped hell and limbo, respectively. She stopped to ponder over the situation and ask the question that had been plaguing her for some time now - ever since she'd learned of their return.
Her sensors picked up on something noteworthy. Expecting to see a buffed human, Eighteen slowly turned around... her eyes grew wide at what she saw: large frame, green suit of armor, orange mohawk. There was the being, standing on the other side of the street just outside of Capsule Corporation. "Sixteen?" she asked in a tone louder than a whisper but softer than normal conversation.

Sixteen ran out of bird feed only a few moments before 18 spotted him. He had yet to notice her on his short range scanner until his highly sensitive audio sensors picked up the one word she said. As calm and lax as ever, Sixteen looked across the street to see the one to whom that familiar voice belonged. He had been frowning when he ran out of bird feed, but the sight of his old friend put a smile back on his face.
He said nothing for now, not wanting to be loud and startle the birds that still loomed in the trees nearby. He motioned for 18 to cross the road so that they could speak. With her around he might be able to accomplish his goals without having to do a great deal of fighting. He was relieved that what he thought had become of the female android had been incorrect. Being happy about being wrong didn't make sense to him logically, but her shoved that thought aside.

Eighteen would propel herself over the street so that she wouldn't have to wait for the light at the crosswalk to change. Several people stopped to eyeball her; it was odd, yes, but aliens visited everyday and a colony of Tyrannosaurus Rex lived just outside of the city - they could handle a levitating woman.
She came down on her feet just in front of the big brother figure. Could she be sure that this was the same Android who'd bonded with her and not some re-creation? Well, he didn't recognize me. She looked him up and down, taking in his appearance. Why, he looked brand new! "Sixteen, what are you doing here?"
So it's settled then. If Sixteen's back, then Seventeen's definitely out there too... somewhere

Her question was not the warm welcome he had hoped for, but it was simple and easy enough to answer. "I came to Capsule Corps. because I knew that I would eventually run into someone I knew here. I've been repaired by Bulma and Dr. Brief once before, as well. Those were my primary reasons for coming here."
He paused, letting Eighteen take in what he had said before continuing, "It is good to see you again, Eighteen. I thought you and Seventeen had been destroyed along with Cell when the monster was defeated." Eighteen seemed to be the same now as she was when they had first met minus some small wardrobe changes. He looked over his shoulder to find that Dr Brief's car, Scratch, was now sitting there. It seemed that Dr. Brief was taking another break from his lab and Scratch had decided to come see what his new friend Sixteen was up to.

This reunion was weird. Most humans would hug in such cases - the only people that Eighteen had ever hugged had been her daughter and husband - and she rarely hugged him. But still, she'd missed Sixteen just the same. "It's good to see you too," Eighteen admitted, thinking of a way to respond to his following statement. Seventeen had gone to Hell and Sixteen had gone to... nowhere. How would she explain that all this time she'd been on Earth living life and was now married with a child? "Did Doctor Briefs tell you anything while he was repairing you?" She didn't know he'd been brought back by a wish.

"You misunderstood. I was referring to when he and Bulma repaired me during the Cell Games. Recently I was reconstructed by something on the grounds where the Cell Games were fought. Unfortunately I have not had time to talk to Bulma, and Dr. Brief does not know how I could have been reconstructed from nothing." He waited for her response again. He was still confused about how he'd been rebuilt himself. Not that he wasn't greatful to who or whatever had restored him, but he was designed to be a learning model of Android. And that meant that he had some amount of curiosity about most things.
OOC: Sorry for the short post. :/

To be not living, and then living again with no viable explanation was quite the conundrum. Eighteen wouldn't rake her brain trying to figure out something that would take such an extended time frame to truly understand. She folded her arms over her chest and looked up at the android who stood well over six feet tall. "Well, Cell was defeated by Gohan with his father Goku's help. Their friends wished everyone who was killed by Cell back to Earth; Seventeen and I were included with that group, but you weren't. And then," Eighteen looked down and to the side, blushing before she could go on, "I married Krillin and had his daughter."
Hopefully this shortened summary of events up to date would suffice. He need not worry with the details of the Majin Buu saga.

So it was true. Cell had been defeated by Gohan just as Sixteen had foreseen. The young half saiyan had tremendous power back then. The powers of everyone on Earth seemed to have diminished greatly, though. That would be another question he'd have to ask. "I see. I am a machine, so I cannot truly die. Without a true death the Dragonballs could not revive me the same way that it did for all of you it seems." He stopped for a moment, unsure of how to respond. Eighteen had a child with Krillin? "You do not need to feel embarrassed, Eighteen. Life is a precious thing. You should be proud of your daughter."
"I was happy to see that the Earth was at peace for the time being when I was rebuilt. But I want to prepare in the case that the circumstances change." Sixteen pulled a capsule from a compartment in his wrist. He presented it to Eighteen. "I have a favor to ask of you."

Of course, Eighteen wasn't ashamed of her daughter Marron. It was Krillin that she blushed over. How she ended up with such a goofball, she'd never know.
As Sixteen expressed his desire to be ready in case the Earth's conditions took a turn for the worse again, Eighteen was all ears. "Yeah?" Watching his retrieve something from his wrist, the female android couldn't help but suspect that this was something concocted within the labs of Capsule Corps.

"In this capsule is a chip that I designed while helping Dr. Brief with his inventions. It is an Efficiency Chip, and it will provide a small increase for all of your functions. It has another purpose as well, though. It will gather data from your entire system when you fight. We will be able to analyze this data and reformat the chip to make it even better. In addition we will be able to produce far better upgrades for all of our parts with the data gathered in that chip." Of course this all probably sounded grand to Eighteen, but with what he'd said so far why would Sixteen need her to help with this?
"I do not like to fight if I can avoid it. Otherwise I would install it in my own systems and gather data myself. I do know that the World Martial Arts Tournament will be starting soon, and I was hoping you would enter with the chip installed. The tournament will be a much safer environment than live combat, and it could potentially provide multiple battles for you to gather data from." It was very unlike Sixteen to talk so much, but he figured that explaining things now would save him talking later.

Eighteen would nod her head. As a fully mechanical being, Sixteen hosted different needs than her own; she understood that. The android in her was able to comprehend what this chip was all about, and the bossy female in her was intrigued by the thought of it being able to temporarily increase the productivity of her own functions. "Well, I've already signed up for the tournament... so I don't see why not," she'd agree. She unfolded her arms, wondering if she'd have to let Dr. Briefs install the chip or if Sixteen could do it himself. "Do you think Seventeen would let you install the chip into him too? I'm not sure where he's at, but the tournament sounds like something he'd look into. If not for the competition, for the money."
