Gohan decided that it was time for another round of training in intense amounts of gravity. The half saiyan could only imagine the amounts of training that everyone else had to be doing, if he wanted to keep up and surpass everyone, he had to rigorously exercise even when his muscles already ached from previous workouts. His arm was especially sullen that it had to once again be moved. The warrior was going to persevere though, determined that he would surpass his father, Mister Piccolo, and perhaps even his uncle Raditz, who was surprisingly powerful in comparison to anyone else that he knew existed at the moment. Gohan could only imagine what his proud saiyan uncle had gone through to obtain that power.
The half saiyan quickly pressed the buttons for forty times gravity, immediately feeling the pressure pushing him down. It was a strain although mostly since his body was already tired from yesterday's training. Gohan had decided it was time for an alternative training regiment. He had brought a backpack and some household items that he had managed to acquire and put them within the gravity training chamber. He planned on spending at least the next twenty four hours within this chamber with 40x the gravity of Earth pelting him every moment. He sat down in the chair he had felt, trying to act casually as he sat there.
Five hour laters, Gohan was beginning to find it difficult to concentrate. He had simply been sitting there, drinking a cup of tea that he had made when something inside of him snapped. He felt as if all of his energy had just drained out of him. The half saiyan slumped in his chair, struggling to think. The warrior stared at the floor, vaguely wondering where he was. His eyelids floated down, covering his eyes for a moment before he stood, flipping the chair and letting the cup fall to the ground and dent, having been metal since he couldn't actually be porcelain here. He growled, renewing his determination to continue, he knew that he had to!
Twelve hours later, the young man had finished eating all of the food that he had brought... which had been quite a copious amount. Gohan had devoured the food, feeling a surge in his energy. It was good that he had managed to keep himself moving fine. The World Martial Arts Tournament was coming up and if he could just continue to keep himself in this amount of gravity, everything should seem forty times lighter when he actually had to fight. The half saiyan was beginning to feel more relaxed here, less strained, yet it still felt as if he was trying on his father's weighted clothing again. That had been an experience he had never tried again once he had done it as a child.
Gohan casually sat in his chair, reclining. He was obviously at ease. It was almost as if there wasn't any amplification of the gravity that he was used to here. The twenty four hour mark was almost up and the young man was ready to go sleep. He checked the clock on the computer that controlled the amount of gravity, which proclaimed that his allotted time in the gravity chamber was finally up. He stood up, taking the items that he had brought outside. Gohan almost felt as if he was going to float off of the world as he stepped outside. It was as if this was the unnatural gravity to his body at the moment. Confident in himself, he left the Briefs' estate.
