Neylo stood on top of one of the taller buildings at the heart of South City's market district. His arms were crossed and his eyes were closed. What was he to do now? A second chance at life was a miraculous gift, especially for someone like him. That gift meant nothing if he had no direction for it, though, and he was beginning to get a little frustrated about it. He couldn't figure out what to do or where to go, and no one seemed to be around for him to ask. He'd asked some of the people on the streets, but they all looked at him like he was out of his mind or tried to mug him.
I want to pick up where I left off and continue bringing justice to my home, but I'm certain that my home hasn't changed into this place in just fifty years of my absence. They said this planet was called Earth. That name sounds familiar for some reason, but I can't remember why. I remember someone in Other World mentioning Earth and some great hero that came from it...but I can't remember the specifics. Neylo opens his eyes, "Tch.... Maybe someone will find me instead."

(Good evening, sir. I shall now commence my turn.)
Yesterday
"Hey, hey... Care to repeat that again, Master?"
Charles didn't understand what his master was telling him. Xin replied to that answer in a very non-discreet tone.
"You heard me. I want you to head to South City and gather me these items..."
Xin pointed at a list in Charles's hand and nodded. In the time Charles had spent with Master Xin, he had learned to expect the unexpected, but still.... This took Charles by surprise. The apprentice looked down at the list and began reading it out loud in a confused tone.
"One medicine ball, 20lb. A ballistic knife, 2 bag of oranges, and..."
Charles paused, trying to read the last item on the list. It was a bit smudged out from Chuck holding the list, but most of the letters were visible. He pronounced the word as best as he could, putting some emphasis on each syllable.
"And a live, adult... Pter...a..dac...tyl..."
Charles remained silent for a second, to contemplate what he read and why his Master would need such a thing. He opened his mouth for a moment, trying to ask him a question, but closed his mouth, to try and understand the necessity of it. However, nothing came to mind, so he looked at his master with the confusion that developed.
"So... Why do you need an adult Pteradactyl," Charles asked rather loudly. Xin's face remained stern as he looked at his confused apprentice.
He spoke, telling him, "That's for you to try and figure out. Now get going, Chuck. You got 5 days to get everything."
His master smiled widely at Charles, who remained staring at him for a good two minutes. After that, he sprinted out of the house, leaving behind him a trail of dust. He jumped up into the air and began to focus his energy so that he could fly to West City and catch a plane to South City. During that time, his personality went from his normal self to his maniacal self, so people saw Charles jumping like a jester after landing in the city all the way to the air port and on the plane itself. At one point, they almost did a nose dive into the ocean, but they managed to get back up once more, after Charles recovered control over his body and he let the pilot take back control of the plane. For the rest of the flight, he requested that he be strapped down with the cargo.
Present day
Charles was lingering in the streets, searching for the food market. He had managed to get the ballistic knife and the medicine ball somehow. However, he still need to get the oranges and then somehow find and bring a living, adult pterodactyl back to his master...
"Master just wants to torture us! I say we kill him and then the overgrown animal! You know how he is! He likes to torture us nonstop! Come o-"
The thoughts from the dementia were temporarily cut off from Charles purposely hitting his head, to stop it from speaking. He was somehow managing to keep the dementia under control everyday, but he feared that one day, it wouldn't be able to be controlled and it would go on a rampage until it felt satisfied enough.
Charles looked up at the sky, the sun gleaming down at everyone in its sight. As he was looking up, he noticed something odd on top of one of the buildings. He couldn't tell what the thing was, so he ignored it for now to continue on searching for the food market district. Some people around him gave him looks, but other than that, he seemed like an average civilian... A very muscular, but average civilian.

Neylo continued on his train of thought until something felt off. He spotted someone below looking up at him. They looked away the moment he looked back. Shortly after they kept walking through the city. Neylo kicked off the building's edge and glided to the ground. He followed the one that looked up at him until he was within earshot. "Hey. What's with starin' me down back there an' then jus' runnin' off? You afraid of me or somethin', mate?" Neylo took a relaxed stance for the time being, letting his arms hang at his sides and putting his weight on one foot.
No one else has seen me up there for over an hour. I know they haven'. An' then this guy randomly looks up a' me through the beamin' sun? Wha's his deal? He tapped the toe of the foot he didn't have his weight on on the sidewalk. "Well, mate? I'm no' too fond of bein' ignored."
OOC:Sorry it's a bit short by comparison.

OOC: It's all good. I have my short posts too.
IC: As Charles went up to someone to ask for directions, the people started to freak out and clear the area. He called after the couple he was about to talk to, but they continued to run. He sighed in disappointment. It seemed like Charles wasn't really dressed normally and probably looked like he was going to kill someone, due to the dementia peeking out for a small bit.
"This is going to take a while..."
Charles paused for a moment and scratched his head. As he did so, a voice came up from behind him. He turned around, to see quite a strange fellow looking at him. The man, or at least that's Charles was thinking the person was, seemed relaxed. He had red skin, for one, and very bright yellow hair. This guy didn't seem like he was human, though he did have human characteristics. The manic side of his mind was slowly trying to make its way out of Charles's control, while the dementia ignored the man their body was looking at and focused on what he wanted to do to the people that ran away from him.
"Well, I couldn't really tell who or what was up there, but I now see that it was you and I apologize for that... However, something is making me curious. First off, how did you get down here so quickly and, secondly, why on Earth is your skin so red? You're redder than a cherry," Charles asked, not being able to resist from pointing out the obvious.

Neylo raised an eyebrow to the man as he listened to his reply. He sighed, thinking that this man might not be able to help him after all. It had been seemingly dumb luck that had lead the man to notice him. "I see. No apologies needed, mate." He was about to turn and walk away when the earthling fellow mentioned being curious and followed up with a very logical pair of questions. Neylo chuckled before putting his hand on his chin, as if he were in deep thought.
"Well, mate, I go' down here so fast because I know a technique called bukujutsu tha' allows me the freedom of self propelled fligh'. An' the reason I'm so red is because I'm no' from this plane'. Tha's actually the reason I came down to gree' ya. I though' ya migh' be able to tell me where I was." He realized how absurd that must have sounded to the earthling. Someone randomly showing up from another planet without anyone really noticing didn't seem like something that would happen on a normal basis, let alone that being the explanation for why he was red.

The red-skinned man chuckled a bit at Charles's question. As he listened, more of his manic began show itself. It slightly starting to show up in Charles's actions. As the man explained where he was, Charles sat legged in the air and leaned forward, resting his chin on his left hand. This would probably surprise the man, due to Charles having a small grin developing on his face, while also floating cross legged in the air.
Charles spoke once more, sounding a tad happy about this situation.
"So lemme get this straight. You're a red skinned guy that came from space at some point and you can't remember where you're from? That's actually pretty interesting. It could be possible that when you came to this planet, you suffered some case of amnesia. From my point of view, you could be from a planet that is relatively close to a sun and is possibly desert like... OH WHAT'S THAT!"
Charles's body was being controlled by the mania at this point, but Charles didn't mind it really. It was usually calmer than the dementia part of him and, sometimes, it was actually really logical about certain things. The only problems Charles had with it were that it made him act like someone who had ADD and ADHD going off at the same time. The other problem, relative to the first one, was that his curiosity led him to dangerous situations, some of which had involved the police and gangs in and around West City and master Xin's home.
Charles found himself staring into one of the stores he had been in before at a special item that had just been put it. It looked like the owner had polished the metal extensively, so it would gleam in the sunlight. A leather piece was hung underneath the shiny object. It had a decent sized handle that was covered in dark red leather. Charles's grin spread widely as he observed the engravings on the large scimitar. It was written in a language that he didn't understand, but he knew what type of language it was, at the very least.
"Hey buddy! Float on over here and take at this," the manic man called out, keeping his gaze fixated on the weapon. He signaled the man to float on over to the window with the weapon.

Neylo raised an eyebrow as the man replied. He slowly floated into the air cross-legged. It was quite a strange sight to behold even when the one witnessing it was a galactic warrior. "I's no' tha' simple, mate. Wha' I told ya so far is true, bu' i's no' the whole story. I've been dead for fifty years, mate. An' then I suddenly popped back up fully alive here on Earth. I'm more confused than I can pu' into words." He shook his head after he said that. People coming back to life fifty years later on another planet...how insane did that sound?
He wasn't paying attention to what the man was doing, lost in his own thought. Or he was until the man called out to him about something in a shop window. Neylo walked over next to him and looked in. It was a weapon, and a good quality weapon from the looks of it. "Wha' abou' i'? You gonna buy i' or somethin'?"
Actually, mate, I was wonderin' if you could tell me where I migh' find someone to point me in the righ' direction. He leaned over and looked at the ground, scratching his head as he did so. "I'm kinda clueless as to wha' to do next, mate."

Charles looked at the man and pointed at it, saying, "If you had this thing, you'd look like one of those Oni warriors you could find at some secret temples or in an animated show! Seriously, it'd look awesome if you had it!"
A wide grin was on his face as he floated on over to the man's side, standing on his two feet once more. He started to pat the man's shoulder, rather hard, and told the man, "Ah, cheer up, buddy! There are plenty of opportunities here on this planet! It doesn't matter about finding out where you're from, really! It's all about the journey we're all on!"
Charles stopped patting the man's shoulder, as he started to rub his head a bit with his hand. He shook it and looked around a bit. The manic side had been done for now, for it had to think of something to do. Right now, it couldn't really think of something without going excessively violent. The man sighed and looked at the red skinned alien.
"Uhm... Sorry about that. Usually, I don't act like that... At any rate, let me ask you this: Upon arriving on Earth via some mysterious means of revival, have you tried anything out? Despite the fact that you don't exactly look like part of the crowd, you can still explore and try things out," Charles explained, trying to help the man as best as he could.

At first Neylo started to look a little frustrated that the strange fellow wasn't taking him seriously. Though he may have been right about Neylo looking like an Oni with that weapon, that wasn't something Neylo cared for at the moment. He was about to say something about it, too, until the man spoke again. Though it sounded too upbeat to be serious Neylo could tell that there was some unique wisdom in his words. Again the red man was opening his mouth to reply when his acquaintance spoke a third time. Now he got to the point for sure, and he sounded like he was truly honest this time.
"I hear ya, mate. I guess I was too caugh' up in bein' alive an' goin' back to see my home tha' I lost track o' the present. I'm here on this planet for better or for worse. An' I migh' as well enjoy i'. Speakin' o' opportunities, do you know where I could do some good training?" He crossed his arms once more and stopped looking so concerned about everything. This guy, whoever he was, was right. This place was sure to have some interesting ventures. Neylo had met this fellow, after all. That proved that this place wasn't as boring as it had first seemed.

Charles smiled at the red man's question. He rose a thumb up and pointed it at himself. He stated happily, "I'm actually in the midst of gather several things for training right now. All I need is to find..."
He let the last word drag on a bit, as he pulled out his crumpled list on the paper. He read the words out, so the man knew what he was searching.
"Oranges and a live, adult pterodactyl..."
He sighed in a depressed manner, as his memory came back to finding the market district. He put the list in his pocket and rubbed his head with his hand. Maybe this guy knew where the market district was, since he was high up on the building? Charles turned to his head to the man and asked, "Hey, by chance, you wouldn't happen to know where the market district was for food, would you? I've been having some difficulty finding out where it is."
Charles was hoping that man knew where it was, so he could get to work on finding and nabbing himself an giant, flying adult lizard and then bringing it back to his master's place. This guy probably wouldn't want to wait to train, so perhaps giving a good location to train at was best.
"Before you tell me if you know where it is or not, in regard to a good place train, I think it would be best if you went North of here to West City. There's a place called Capsule Corporation that is full of technology, some of it specifically to help fighters train themselves. I haven't actually used it before, but whenever I went by there, a group of men that went there to train had come out very weak after about an hour of training there. I think you should check it out, if you want to be able to train nicely."

Neylo raised an eyebrow, looking quite skeptical of what the strange man just said. An orange and a live, adult pterodactyl for training just sounded ludicrous. "Those are some strange implements to need for trainin', mate. I can understand tha' the orange migh' make a decent snack, bu' why in the cosmos would you wan' a live pterodactyl?" The man then proceeded to ask about the market district of the city. Neylo hadn't been here long, but just as the stranger suspected his rooftop view had given him a general layout of the place. Neylo nodded and responded, "The marke' district is eigh' or nine blocks southwest of here." He pointed in the direction he was talking about for the sake of clarity.
"West City, eh? Alrigh'. I'll be sure to head in tha' direction soon. Thanks for the help, mate. Good luck gatherin' your trainin' supplies. You migh' wanna look in the wilderness for that pterodactyl. Only place they'd likely keep one in a city would be a zoo, righ'?" He lifted off the ground and waved farewell to the man. "My name is Neylo Zig, by the way. Maybe we'll mee' again sometime. See you then, mate."

The man was just as confused by the request as Charles was. Charles wasn't really sure to respond to to the man's question. The man then told that the market district was eight or nine blocks from their location, pointing in the direction as he did. Charles bowed to him, wishing the man, "Good luck with your own training, Neylo. I have a feeling we'll be meeting sometime soon in the future... Ah, and my name is Charles Poe. It was nice meeting you, man."
Charles watched the man fly off, heading northward. He had a smile on his face for a bit, but then it wore off, as a man in ragged clothes and a nauseating stench tried to snatch the medicine ball from him. Charles glared at the man, his dementia quickly setting in. He slammed the ball into the man's face, knocking him into a wall. He rushed towards the homeless-looking thief and rammed his open hand into the man's face and into the wall. An impression of the man's face was left there, as the man spat blood onto the white wall.
Charles leaned forward, so that the man could see his face as he whispered, "Get the fuck out of here... I"m not in the mood for dealing with a thief like yourself! If you try this shit again, I'll kill you..."
He let the man go and shot up into the sky, then bolted towards the market district, to quickly get the oranges and then leave the city before anything could happen to him. Such was the life Charles had to deal with. Random bursts from either his dementia or mania intruding his day.
