Kami's Lookout - Training Part 1[/i]

"BRING ME KAMI, YOU TURBAN WEARING OAF!" yelled Raditz as he menacingly shook his right fist at Mr. Popo. With such a fierce look in his eyes, Raditz certainly wasn't fooling around. Unlike his rather patient little brother, Raditz had no qualms about being a bully to get what he wanted. Popo on the other hand, was indifferent as usual with a blank expression on his face as he lazily sat on his Persian rug. "Okay......." the genie-man said calmly. Standing up and walking the way, the Lookout's caretaker went off to go fetch his master inside the temple..

In the minutes that Mr. Popo was absent, Raditz was busily wondering why everything was going so smoothly. Normally he would have to bust someone up or be more persistent. Perhaps people were giving him the respect he finally deserved. Or maybe Kami and Mr. Popo somehow knew the real reason why Raditz was around here; as Korin would have likely squealed. Either way, Raditz was anxious to learn some techniques from the legendary Kami should he cooperate.

Suddenly, Mr. Popo returned, most notably absent without Kami. This angered the Saiyan Warrior, as Mr. Popo had not gave into his demands. Yet before Raditz could shout his mouth off, Mr. Popo interjected as he approached back to his spot. "Kami will meet with you, but only if you're worthy. Prove it by landing a hit on me first." Mr. Popo said in serene candor. Amused by this, Raditz crossed his arms and scoffed as this "challenge" seemed fairly easy. "Very well", Raditz said approvingly.

Just as Raditz bent his knees and clenched his fists to prepare, Mr. Popo just stood there looking blankly at Raditz. Raditz was a bit puzzled by this as normally he would expect an opponent to either begin flying or to take a defensive posture. Figuring that Popo was too overweight to do much, Raditz arrogantly just walked forward towards the black genie man, seeking to land a right hook into Popo's big red lips. Though Raditz wasn't really trying with little more than half his power. Mr. Popo dodged the strike with ease in an after-image.

Astonished yet not undaunted by Popo's speed, Raditz fired up an aura of ki energy and began assaulting his opponent with a series of fists and kicks. He had recently trained in his rush attacks during his previous gravity training session, so hopefully, just maybe he could make contact with Mr. Popo real soon. Yet for each move he tried, Mr. Popo simply got out of the way with little difficulty. To taunt the arrogant and frustrated Raditz, Mr. Popo held his hands behind himself and would appear to run circles around the Saiyan. Delving into his own bag of tricks, Raditz decided to utilize a most devious maneuver that he had worked on as of late. Throwing a weak left punch as soon as Mr. Popo appeared right in front of him, Raditz kept his right arm bent as to anticipate his opponent to appear behind him. Just as that occurred, Raditz immediately swung his right arm backwards to deliver a rapid elbow strike hard into Mr. Popo's stomach.

"I'M A TOP-CLASS WARRIOR!", shouted Raditz as he connected with the unorthodox attack. Once used as an improvised move to dispatch Piccolo & Goku during their climatic battle; this rush attack had developed into a far more versatile and patented technique. There was a slight variation to it however, as Raditz was in front of Mr. Popo rather than behind him when he performed it. Dumbfounded by this unorthodox move, Mr. Popo gawked his mouth wide open in disbelief as his fat belly rippled from the shockwaves of Raditz's attack. Mr. Popo had just failed Kami, as now Raditz was one step closer to what he came here for...

Kami's Lookout - Training Part 2

Inside Kami's temple hall, Raditz stood with arms crossed before the aged guardian. Unlike most Earthlings would, Raditz did not care to show the proper respect. Nevertheless the two would soon get down to business. "I know why you are here, Raditz. Returned from Hell you have, but no longer do you wish to destroy this planet. Nor do you wish to serve anyone but yourself.... You want to become stronger, to train. Learn from me as Goku did, so that you may defeat him, yes?" the aged Kami said with his raspy voice.

Raditz smiled, as he finally met someone on this planet with half a brain. However he duly noted, that Kami was in fact a Namekian and not a true Earthling. "Well well, you are farseeing as they say you are! Still knowing this, you wasted MY TIME with that turban wearing oaf......", Raditz said while laughingly as he disparaged Mr. Popo before Kami. Raditz was thoroughly amused of himself, while Kami look disgruntled at Raditz's arrogance. Both knew however that Raditz was not one to be trifled with, and that Kami had no right to refuse him so far. "SO! Traditions, traditions! I suppose this is where I undergo another trial; to either get rid of me or...... to reward me!", Raditz said slyly, indicating he was ready to get things done.

Pointing his wooden staff at Raditz and then directing it towards the darkness within an open doorway, Kami indicated to the Saiyan warrior what his next challenge would be. From these shadows emerged a doppelganger of Raditz, matching him perfectly in physical form. Even the bushy hair was down to detail. Upon the gesturing from Kami, this mirror image steadily walked towards Raditz - though with a seemingly soulless expression. Raditz was impressed by this; for his opponent would clearly be himself. Then snapping his fingers, Kami magically placed weighted clothing onto Raditz as to slow his speed down. Clearly Kami was more resourceful than he gave him credit for. "Oh, who is this tall, dark, and handsome fellow?" Raditz cheekily said to keep up his confident front.

As the doppelganger stopped before Raditz, the doppelganger began to copy ever move that Raditz would make. Raditz realized this, as the dummy would unfold his arms just as Raditz would. They both blinked and tilted their head the same way; copying him. However notably the dummy wasn't making a sound. "A training double that will perform every move you make, until you defeat him. Or he defeats you.", Kami explained to Raditz. Tapping his wooden staff to the ground, the elderly Kami away to the darkened doorway as the match was now signaled to begin.

Throwing a stiff right punch to his mirror opponent, Raditz wished to test how really fast his adversary was. Just as expected, both combatants punched each the same way into one another chest. Raditz and his double traded a few more hits after that, with the same result. Heh, so I have my work cut out for me., the Saiyan warrior quipped. Raditz was perplexed at a situation like this, since he would either have to wear down the dummy by sacrificing his own defense; or risk using his most powerful KI attacks in an enclosed area. Of course, Kami wouldn't appreciate the wanton destruction of his lookout. Therefore Raditz had to be a little more ingenious.......

"LOCK IT UP!!!" Raditz shouted as he outstretched his arms and hands towards his duplicate. As they both locked their fingers together into a greco-roman knuckle lock, Raditz showed his intent to outwrestle his opponent. Grappling would seem on surface to be a bad idea for Raditz, as his double would be able to do the same moves as him. However truthfully the Saiyan warrior knew from experience that no opponent could win just by copying their fellow wrestler. It was all about balance, countermoves, and timing. Since the dummy couldn't react and defend the same way a real person would, Raditz knew he'd just have to outsmart his opponent.

"Hahaha.....You're good....but I'm the one and ONLY!" Raditz said as the two titans each wrestled for the advantage. Every time Raditz would try to gain a new position, the duplicate would try to do the same. Most of the two cancelled each other out, yet Raditz was steadily discovering that the dummy was not as powerful or intuitive as he. Bringing their knucklelock overhead Raditz saw an opening as the duplicate left his side the hold very loose. Powering himself up in an aura of white ki energy, Raditz unlocked his inner strength to power up his next attack. Then using the phenomenal speed of his after-image technique to jump up in the air while still holding onto his duplicate, Raditz managed to use the momentum to flip his dummy backwards over him , with Raditz falling onto his own backside to ensure that the dummy had only one place to go - down.

With the training dummy crashing down hard to the temple floor, shards of marble and stone shattered about. The dummy, now heavily damaged still attempted to resist and copy Raditz's moves. Maintaining his advantage, Raditz used his own Saiyan rage to begin pulling on the arms of the doppelganger in the hopes of a quick finish. Screaming in a blind fury, Raditz bent his elbows and stretched out his arms with all his strength. A sickening pop and rip could be heard, as the dummy had its arms ripped out right from their sockets. Oddly enough though, there wasn't any blood coming out.

"EXCUSE ME, have you seen my arms? HAHAHAAAHAHAAA!", Raditz said mockingly as he stood up to overlook his adversary. Once before Raditz had said something like this, to taunt Piccolo when he severed that particular Z-fighters arm. Now standing over the doppelganger, Raditz laughed as the dummy struggled in vain to get itself up with out arms. Without mercy, Raditz raised up his left leg and then smashed his boot down onto the double's face. "Nighty night!" Raditz said gleefully. Within seconds, the sheer pressure caused its face to be crushed under Raditz's might. The match was decidedly over. Now standing triumphant over his fallen enemy, it would appear that Raditz was once again closer to being trained by Kami......
