Gohan had his signature move charging up while Yamcha did the same. He may not be able to counter the Spirit Ball that his opponent was charging but the ball of ki wouldn't be able to deflect his Masenko either. Apparently it was going to be a battle of whom could endure the damage of the other attack. The half saiyan's ki wave had damaged many powerful beings, the most notable being Frieza while it had also done some minor damage to the androids. The young man felt that he had enough power built up in the palm of his hand, more than enough to destroy a building or a mountainside, yet hopefully not enough to take down his opponent. Yamcha had finished charging first, a yellow ball of energy built up in his hand, obviously able to deal quite a bit of damage if it managed to connect.
"What kind of warrior would I be if I wasn't ready?" Gohan's hand strained as it attempted to maintain the energy built up in his hand while also restraining it from growing. It was quite the precarious balance, enough to incapacitate his opponent while also weak enough not to seriously injure him. "MASENKO, HA!" The half saiyan shouted, bringing his hand down to chest level before the yellow wave of energy forced him to lean back. It was aimed directly at Yamcha, as Gohan hoped to both nullify the threat of the Spirit Ball and the threat of his opponent in one swift move.

The brilliant white light began to fade from Gohan's vision after a few moments, finally allowing him to see Yamcha. He had felt the impact of his fists upon his shield, rather powerful yet he had managed to hold his shield together against the other man. "Rather unpleasant being blinded." The young warrior said as he wiped the moisture away from his eyes. He took a few steps backwards, shaking his head as if that could help his vision recover. Gohan's eyes managed to focus on the bandit after a moment, getting prepared to counter-attack. Yamcha appeared to have a different plan though, forming a ball of ki in his hand, supported by his other hand.
His opponent appeared to be preparing a powerful ki attack. Gohan let the barrier disappear. "You want to play rough, huh?" The half saiyan put his hand in front of his forehead, beginning to charge an attack of his own. His palm faced outwards, a yellow ball of ki forming in his hand. "I'll send a regular one at ya. I'm not sure you could handle a hyper one." Gohan's grin disappeared as he forced more ki into his hand, the power building to higher proportions. He didn't want to injure Yamcha too bad, if he did manage to hit him though, so he kept it from going to his peak. "It's almost ready, are you?" The young warrior asked seriously, the attack nearly prepared.

Gohan knew that move! Solar Flare was a technique to blind your opponent and give the opportunity to end the fight with one powerful attack. His eyes immediately snapped shut yet he knew that it wasn't going to be enough to stop the light from blinding him. Yamcha confirmed this when he shouted the name, shortly afterwards a blinding white light emanated from him, making it impossible to see anything at the moment. The injured Gohan stumbled backwards a few steps, lacking the ability to see, although he tried to replace that ability by sensing the bandit's ki. It didn't help though, he couldn't tell if the other warrior was attacking or not, he could only sense the general location of Yamcha.
Gohan's eyes fluttered, tears coming out as his body attempted to repair the temporary damage. He wasn't sure that he could fight the Z Fighter when his vision wasn't impaired, let alone when it was. He did know how to stop the other man's attack though. "Haaa!" His aura flaring up for a moment before he formed a ki shield around himself. Gohan put in quite a bit of power, hoping to hold off any attacks until he could see something beside a blinding white light with only white dots. His head turned blindly as he tried to lock on to Yamcha, although he couldn't quite decide which way would make his eyes lay upon the bandit.

Gohan had managed to land his hits, despite the lack of his left arm making it more difficult to land a quick succession of blows. He smashed Yamcha with quite a bit of his strength, feeling that perhaps they were taking this a bit too seriously. He could feel his ribs aching, they'd been hit He was beginning to feel a bit more confident as the spar continued. Gohan wondered if perhaps Yamcha was beginning to wear down as the spar wore on. Both had taken some painful hits, mostly to the ribs. They seemed to be a popular part to leave bruises upon. The young man began to gulp down air as he seemed to have been given a moment's respite as the bandit gathering his bearings. Every breath made it feel as if a knife was being jammed into his ribs, yet he knew they were only bruised.
Perhaps the bandit wasn't just recuperating though, he wasn't moving very much. "But what?" Gohan could only wonder what the other man's plan was when the pain in his ribs doubled. "Aaaaarrghh!" He shouted, collapsing to his knees as it became difficult to focus upon anything. His head began spinning every time that he looked up to see if Yamcha was coming yet. He wrapped his remaining arm around his ribs, woozily standing to his feet. He stumbled for a moment before he managed to steady himself. "That hurt, nice trick." He managed to say, holding his ribs tightly as he tried to think for a moment. It was difficult for Gohan to think at the moment, yet he tried to shift into his battle ready stance anyways.

Gohan had been expecting a speedy attack, although he hadn't been sure of which direction he would be coming from. Yamcha disappeared streaks being left in the air as he disappeared. The young warrior spun around, attempting to block the incoming kick yet it had only been a feint and his opponent was already attacking in another area. Perhaps the warrior from the future had underestimated this particular human. The ki enforced blow impacted his ribs, making them cry out in protest, although Gohan only allowed himself a grimace as he was sent bouncing along the ground into the distance. That had hurt, it felt as if his ribs were going to be bruised for a while. Every breath he took made him want to scream in agony, yet he didn't want to end the spar yet.
Gohan took a moment to think before he dashed with all speed at Yamcha. His feet came off of the ground as he brought a full-force punch at his opponent's face. The image flickered though, as the half saiyan appeared behind him, attempting to sweep Yamcha off of his feet. The young man attempted to kick the bandit in the ribs, he grunted in pain, obviously feeling his aching ribs as he moved. Gohan couldn't help but feel that he was being overwhelmed slowly but surely by the other fighter. The half saiyan would have to manage to land a deciding blow upon the other man if he wanted to win this spar.

Gohan had finally managed to actually hit his enemy with a couple of good hits. These two fighters that were among the greatest that Earth had to offer at the moment had abilities that the general populace wouldn't be able to comprehend. Yamcha fought in a similar manner to his father and Master Roshi, one of whom he was currently training under, although the bandit took the turtle style and made it his own. Gohan had also trained under Piccolo, another powerful combatant on Earth whom had trained simply to counter Goku and company's style of fighting for some time. The young warrior knew that he just had to simply remember the Namekian's training and it would become much simpler, yet that had been so long ago...
Gohan hadn't been expecting the blast of ki, feeling the ball of energy plow into him and send him tumbling back. He cough a little, his orange gi singed on the front where it had hit him. He shook his head, hopping up to his feet, expecting an attack from Yamcha. The half saiyan was in luck though, his opponent wasn't attacking him yet, apparently recovering from the attacks that had managed to slip through his defenses. The young warrior took a moment to steady himself and prepare another plan of attack. Gohan allowed Yamcha a small respite as well, letting the bandit initiate this round of the fight.

Gohan had decided that it had come time for him to have round two with what had been a difficult workout the first time he had been here. He went into the Gravity room, knowing that no one was inside since he would have been able to sense them. He moved to the control panel, staring down at it for a moment. Last time, he had put it on 40x gravity... It had been nearly too intense for him, pushing him to the extent of his strength and endurance. Gohan wondered for a moment if he should once again try that amount or if he should try something lighter. He was planning on a more harrowing training session to do, using his newly found speed, strength, and endurance to do so. He pushed a few buttons upon the console before turning around, ready to begin his exercise.
The gravity jerked Gohan down for a moment, his legs becoming accustomed to the increased amount of weight before he stood, very confident of himself. He took a deep breath for a moment, then he was gone. He was flitting with all of the speed that he could muster around the area. He began to throw in afterimages, images of himself circling around the center. He fired a ki blast around the area, maintaining his control upon it, sending it in circles and up and down. It was difficult for him to force the glowing ball of power upwards yet he was determined to keep it moving. Gohan eventually directed it to himself, grabbing it and dispersing the ki before continuing with his training.
The half saiyan flipped upside down, landing on his hand. He began to do push ups with his body perpendicular to the ground. The veins in his arm bulged as he continued, his muscles obviously straining to follow his order. He continued, his eyes bulging and his breathing becoming heavy. Gohan finally collapsed, gulping down air as he waited for the agonizing pain in his arm to dull. He rolled on to his stomach before pushing himself up, obviously determined to continue his training. He was determined to become stronger. He had to win the World Martial Arts Tournament and finish his training with Master Roshi so he could defend those that needed it.
Gohan began to run around the room once more, but he jumped into the air, slamming into the ceiling before landing and doing it once more. His thighs began to burn as they protested against his resisting the increased gravity. He had to become more powerful than he had been before, he had to keep going! Gohan growled as he sprinted around the room, his legs beginning to feel as if they were made of lead. He slipped, unable to lift one of his legs the required height for a step, tumbling forward and slamming against the wall. He sat there for a moment catching his breath. He crawled slowly to the middle, done with his workout for the day.
Gohan pressed the button that turned off the gravity, although his limbs still felt horribly overweight and tired. The young warrior staggered to his feet, wobbling for a moment. He grunted as he pushed open the door, shutting it behind himself. He stumbled away from the Gravity room, feeling that it was time for a rest. He stopped for a moment before launching himself into the air, flying in the direction of Kame House. Gohan went rather slow and unsteadily, obviously exhausted from the training that he had just endured.

Gohan was glad that he finally seemed to be entering the final stages of his training. Instead of some task that was usually menial that Master Roshi made more difficult by getting in the way, there were dummies here and the turtle hermit. He hadn't been told what they were doing yet, but he had been told to be ready to go by dawn. He had his blank orange gi on as he waited for Master Roshi to come out... and he continued to wait. By the time that the sun had reached its peak in the sky, the old man finally waddled out his house. Gohan gritted his teeth, not saying anything as he waited. "Are you ready?" The old man asked, acting as if nothing as out of place.
The half saiyan was rather annoyed by the fact that Master Roshi wasn't one to do things on time. The young man felt as if his master was always trying to spend more time alone with Alexi and Launch, even though Launch was horrifying at times and Alexi was rather shy. Gohan supposed it didn't matter to the turtle hermit as long as he could stare at them in his lecherous way. He let out a heavy sigh, knowing that it was pointless to hold on to silly grudges like this one.
"Today I will be teaching you Jan-ken. First you must clear your mind of all distractions. Then you must perform something that I'm sure you're familiar with." Master Roshi said, in his usual position, hunched over slightly, leaning on his staff with one hand behind his back. But then he exploded into motion, first using Rock the Scissors then Paper. Gohan looked in confusion at the turtle hermit, wondering if he was being completely serious. "You're teaching me Rock, Paper, Scissors?" He couldn't quite figure out what practicality that would have in a fight, yet he couldn't figure out the motivation of Master Roshi's training usually either.
"Yes, yes I am. It was one of Goku's more used moves as a young man and now I'm going to teach it to you. Now pay attention. Clear your thoughts." Gohan nodded, attempting to remove all thoughts from his brain, although he couldn't quite manage to do so. He was still rather annoyed at Master Roshi's lateness. "Now you must move fluidly between the dummies, hitting them with the three different moves of Jan-Ken." Gohan nodded, moving closer to the dummies and getting into a ready stance.
The young warrior moved with intense speed, slamming the Rock, his fist, into the first dummy's stomach before jerking to the next one. He did the only natural thing there, spreading his Scissor, two of his fingers, and jabbing them into what would be the dummy's eye sockets. He stretched over to the next one, slamming his Paper, his palm, slamming into what would be the chin of his opponent. He took a step back, looking at Master Roshi to grade his performance.
"You're much too jerky, Gohan. You must move fluidly, you can't make it as if you're angry!" Gohan wanted to glare at the old man. The only reason he was angry was because he had to wait until dawn before the crazy old man had shown up. He let out a heavy breath, attempting to expel all distractions, thoughts, and feelings. He could still feel the tinge of annoyance in the back of his head. The half saiyan waved it away, ready to perform the move again.
The young warrior took a single step forward, leaning to his left as he used Rock with all of the force he could muster. The head of the dummy went flying into the distance before Gohan quickly used Scissor on the next one, his fingers crunching through the wood as if it was rotten. He began to form Paper as he turned to the next one, slamming his palm into it and leaving and indentation of it upon its stomach. He turned back to Master Roshi, knowing that perhaps he had still let his anger take the reigns in that assault.
"You're doing better but you're still angry! You must clear your mind, even of me." Gohan's eyes widened, a thought unexpectedly coming to him. Perhaps this had all gone according to Roshi's plans. Had the old man purposely made him angry just to make it more important to clear his mind? Goku had never told Gohan about the turtle hermit being so lax about training. It all made sense now. The half saiyan nodded, to himself, replacing the dummies before getting into a stance that showed he was ready to attack.
Gohan let out a breath, his mind becoming blank and focusing upon what he was about to do. The young warrior shouted "Rock!" as he slammed his fist into the dummy's gut before twisting around, shouting "Paper!" His open palm hitting the dummy in what would be its ribs. "Scissors!" He roared as he spun, his fingers slamming into the dummy. He took a few steps back, feeling confident that he had correctly performed the attack this time.
"Well it wasn't great but I suppose it'll do for now. I'm hungry." Master Roshi said, turning around as he tottered back into the house. Gohan stood for a moment, grinning as he surveyed the dummies before following the old man into the house. He knew that it was going to be a long road to power, but if he planned on keeping everyone safe, it was one that he would have to tread with determination. The young half saiyan went into the house, ready to fill his stomach after waiting outside all day.

Gohan wasn't quite quick enough to land either of his attacks as planned, Yamcha jerking his foot away and bringing his head down to protect his nose. Quick thinking on the part of the bandit, especially for someone that was so rash oftentimes. He grunted when he felt the pain in his forehead, slightly dazed by the pain yet not enough to interrupt the fight. He had to figure out a way to defeat this warrior. Gohan had been confident that he was stronger, yet the bandit seemed to have worked more physically than he had upon raising his power level. The half saiyan was confident that his knee would connect, since it seemed that Yamcha wasn't taking any measures to avoid it yet he didn't feel any collision between the two of them.
That's when the afterimage faded away, meaning that his actual opponent was somewhere getting ready to come back in with an attack. He used his ability to sense ki to gain a lock upon the bandit, closing in quickly from behind him. Gohan took the elbow to the back, using the small boost in momentum to roll forward and put distance between himself and Yamcha. This was going to be a difficult fight at the least. He got into a ready position again, throwing three quick blows with his right hand and then a powerful kick that would hit the bandit in the ribs if it managed to land.

"I think that's the first moment in my childhood that I won't ever forget." Gohan was a bit unsure of himself though, as Android 18 was acting like everyone on Earth had when they had first felt Raditz's energy for themselves, sheer terror over the fact that they didn't know a living being could be so powerful. Trunks had disappointed the young warrior though, siding with the evil Android 18 over someone that had helped take care of him since he was born. He couldn't quite understand what was happening, it was all going so fast and no one could explain it. "My life hasn't exactly been easy Uncle Raditz. I'm a warrior because I was the only person left to be one."
The female android managed to evade his attacks, she was still fast. Trunks was also closing in, this was bad. He knew that he could take the other half saiyan, yet he wasn't quite sure that he could do it whilst Eighteen was here as well. He curled up into a ball for a moment, exploding outwards with a shield of ki surrounding him that would hopefully deflect the attacks of both the android and Trunks. "It was a pun, uncle. This is an android designated Android 18. 18 this is my uncle Raditz, Trunks, Raditz. Now that we're all acquainted." The young man was about to retaliate when help descended from one of the most unlikely sources imaginable.
The full blooded saiyan had swooped down with the intent to save his young nephew. This was enough to confuse Gohan as he watched the powerful saiyan warrior even the odds by attacking his opponents from behind. He stared at Raditz in confusion for a moment, wondering if his uncle might not have been the horrible person he had imagined. "I... Should I say thank you?" Gohan asked the older warrior, thrown off his balance, although he was still surrounded by a protective bubble of ki.

Gohan wasn't surprised that Yamcha had been able to dodge and block his attacks respectively. The bandit had been trained by Popo and Korin, as were most of the people he had regularly spent time with that fought. The exceptions were Trunks, Vegeta, and Piccolo. He grunted as his fist was grabbed tightly though, restricting his arm in place. He jerked at it experimentally trying to get it free. He couldn't quite manage it though. Well this seemed a little unsportsmanlike, although he could think of a way to make the bandit let go. One particular thing that might do the trick came to mind, something that his recently revived uncle had done when he was a child... But this was a spar and he didn't want to try to hurt Yamcha.
Gohan growled as the kick met his ribs, it was rather painful, especially since he couldn't retaliate very well when both of his arms had been neutralized. The young man jerked to the side, barely avoiding the punch that had been aimed at him. He retaliated with a stomp to Yamcha's foot, a headbutt aimed for the nose, and then a knee aimed at his opponent's thigh that would hopefully set it tingling painfully for a while. The headbutt and stomp happened simultaneously, while the knee didn't come until after he had gotten his foot underneath him again.

Gohan grinned at Yamcha, having an answer prepared for this specific situation. "There's an easy answer to that. He had a good teacher." The young man stretched his arm back and forth, obviously wanting to keep at least his singular arm from cramping while fighting. He rolled his shoulders, feeling adrenaline build in his gut. He had never felt like his father, not exactly having fun during fights, but ever since the androids, Gohan had been determined to grow stronger and help Trunks to become strong enough to destroy the androids if he couldn't finish the fight. Luckily Trunks had done just that after some time. It had been strange, not having to fight while he had been dead.
The young man nodded, signaling that he was ready. He also hoped that Yamcha was ready, as he used after image to attempt to get the drop on his sparring partner. He attempted a low spinning kick that would sweep the other man off of his feet. Gohan came out of the spin with a punch that would be aimed at the the bandit's stomach, whether he was still on his feet or not. He didn't want to injure Yamcha's pretty face, the half saiyan wasn't sure that the bandit would be able to continue sparring if his greatest asset was damage. Gohan nearly laughed at the thought of such a ridiculous notion.

"I do have the best of both sides... except when my tail grows back, then I have... mood swings." Gohan could remember moments when had turned into a Great Ape, although it had been beneficial several times, although Piccolo had told him once that there had been a time when he had nearly killed the Namekian. The half saiyan knew that would have been a blow to himself and all of the Z Fighters. He could only wonder what abilities Neylo's alien race had. For all he knew they had some latent transformation that would make them even more powerful than a Super Saiyan, even though that was doubtful.
"I'm sure it would be a great experience for the both us." Gohan said, looking the red-skinned alien over again. The young man nodded in agreement, knowing that justice was always a good thing to fight for. He felt a tinge of excitement in his gut, ready to grow more powerful so that he could alter the events that were being enacted by dastardly villains on New Namek. He clenched his fist, looking up into the sky for a moment before returning his gaze to Neylo. "Never lose hope, never give up." Gohan's tone spoke of determination far beyond the young man's years, his eyes ablaze with resolve.
