Yamcha never really saw all of the beams his opponent knows, mainly not the two ones he used in this fight. In fact, he was not too sure which attacks can Gohan perform except for the Kamehameha wave that his father taught him during their time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber once. To add to it, he only saw Gohan actually seriously fighting when it came to the Cell Games, of which he only managed to see a small part of it - namely the child's fight against the green bug in his weakened and then strengthened forms. He also never got to see many of Piccolo's attacks, the creator of this technique and therefore was not prepared to feel his own ray split in two pieces and nearly piercing through his last moment split hands and moved head. The ray did, though, manage to scratch his face to the point of bleeding and cut through his hair.
Looking back in surprise, the human saw the beam keeping on and simply piercing easily through anything in its path until stopping and exploding on a far away mountain. By then, he decided to throw the fight aside and put in quite the comical note, but it was important. Well, at least, comical to anybody not participating in this fight. "Okay, new rule! No more finishing moves!!" He shouted with an angry face while stomping the ground continuously. That comment just there was quite justified, actually, considering he almost died there and this was only a spar after all. Plus, Yamcha's finishing move wasn't shown yet (he had three in his arsenal, non of which exposed) neither was he planning on resorting to use it against a comrade.

Gohan grimaced as he saw his powerful cannon going spiraling past Yamcha and farther into the woods. It would eventually explode upon something once it became too weak. He could only hope it wouldn't go far enough to be dangerous, recalling the first time that it had ever been used it blew a large hole through the mountainside behind his uncle, who had barely managed to dodge the attack. Perhaps he had been too lax in his training to allow what was usually an ill-motivated member of the powerful fighters of this planet. Gohan hadn't seen the bandit train unless immediate danger was presented to them, although he supposed that perhaps the reduction of power levels and other more dastardly things might qualify in Yamcha's mind.
"Good rule. Maybe I should try something simpler." Although Gohan couldn't quite avoid laughing at the small tantrum that his opponent was throwing. It was ridiculous, a grown man stomping around in anger over a small cut on his face. "I just got caught up in the moment. The only person I've sparred with in a long time was Trunks and he was a lot weaker than me when we did." He shrugged, as if to dismiss the action out of hand, although his gut was roiling as he had almost injured a man that he had known most of his life. Gohan put on the most serious face he could muster, waiting for the spar to restart.

Yamcha relaxed after a few seconds of expressing his anger through the stomps to the ground. While most people wouldn't be as relieved as he would be from mere actions like those, it somehow made his condition better and he could hold for his own better right now, knowing the spar has restarted. The previous round could very well be the future fighter's win, but it won't count for the full human nearly died in the process of defending himself from the opponent's streaming Ki attacks. "Okay, so we're back to square one." He said, taking a stance once again and watching his partner in the spar did the same. To him, this spar was indeed fun, but they did exaggerate a little with the power's showing off.
Taking over this situation from the start, the bandit could notice a few things that helped him analyze his next moves very closely: due to a higher powerlevel, it is most safe to assume the Half-Saiyan had better talent and skill when it came to Ki attacks. However, he did have troubles keeping up with the long-haired human's speed and physical attacks, therefore usage of his normal rush would be the best option in this battle, something he engaged right away while shouting as he jumped forward towards the fellow Z-Fighter. He raised his forearm, planning on the other side blocking in a similar way to show off their strength. In his mind though, he almost swore to himself to engage into a session of bursting kicks and punches in intense speed, just for all time's sake. It's been a while since he had rapid physical activity with a fighter of matching power. Besides, the adrenaline dropped quite much due to the blasts, and what way was better other than engaging in this burst-style quick close-range fighting?
Of course, it would be in vain if Gohan will evade the clash.

"Almost back to square one. I think it counts as square two still. My ribs still hurt... a lot." Gohan rubbed his bruised ribs to accentuate his point, wondering what Yamcha considered a finishing move for a moment. Perhaps it was a move that could easily kill. A move meant to finish fights, that made sense. He'd try to avoid using those then. The half saiyan was confident in his ability to defeat the bandit. He knew that they were on nearly even terms, the human being more powerful physically while he had more skill with ki attacks and blasts. They were very similar in power though, enough for the spar to end up in either of their favor's. Gohan was determined not to lose to this man, knowing that he was the fighter with more resolve.
Yamcha approached in a rush, obviously coming to engage in a flurry of blows. It had been a while since the half saiyan had done something like that. It shouldn't be too hard, since he had adapted his fighting style to attempt to defeat two foes while he had one arm. Gohan's punches, kicks, and parries may have been slightly slower than his opponents, yet the pain that the bandit was dealing was unreal. He had been one of the most powerful beings in the universe and now here he was, fighting a being that had been killed by a Saibaman. It was unreal how fates could twist. The bandit was obviously winning the exchange of attacks, hitting slightly harder and more quickly.

Yamcha was pleased to see how the results of his burst ended up coming up in his favor for Gohan was not only handicapped as to have one arm but was giving an incredibly great match against the bandit - who was more skilled in physical actions, but it would seem the pain in the opponent's ribs was taking effect quite much. Honestly, taking a full powered kick to that area and then having that part explode is no joke at all, the long-haired human could understand very well how hard must it be to fight enduring all that pain but it didn't seem like the Half-Saiyan had too many problems adjusting his style to that of the bandit, keeping up with his speed and exchanging blows as well. This was most fun for the human.
But as things would have it, the burst had to stop sometime for the force of their blows and the mere wind and air pressure they landed upon each other was more than enough to cause storming-like effects on the grassland below and the tree surrounding. "There!!" In an attempt to end the burst and engage into more power packed combat, Yamcha aimed a direct punch to the Half-Saiyans stomach with his power clutched entirely on that raising fist while still bursting. That single punch was to stop this series of attacks and perhaps even put the target in a position where he wouldn't be able to move properly, or just hold on to his stomach for a small while. Either way, this was going in the human's favor.

Gohan could only wonder how long this spar could last after they had used some rather powerful attacks such as the Special Beam Cannon and Kamehameha. This had always been one of the largest problems when fighting the androids. While the half saiyan could only manage to fight for a certain amount of time, the duo never seemed to weaken in the slightest. Gohan either had to end it quickly enough or be able to endure long fights. Yamcha didn't seem to be having the same problem with stamina though. The bandit just seemed like he was going to keep on at the same pace without slowing down. If that was the case then the warrior would just have to be the equal, if not better, of his opponent.
Gohan had done this for long enough for his next attack to work. He used Intercept, disappearing only to appear behind Yamcha. It was often easier to use this technique to end skirmishes between any two fighters. He had done it to Trunks once to try and help him learn faster yet it might have been to harsh of a measure. Gohan brought his foot up in a powerful kick that would either hit his opponent in the back of the head, the chin, if he turned fast enough, or air if Yamcha managed to dodge it. It was the only physical technique that he had ever made and practiced, a point of pride for the young man.

Although his speed would be quite the feat in Yamcha's body, even he can be overtaken by surprise sometimes even though he can keep track of nearly every living creature. The fighter from the future was handicapped and still managed to (barely) keep up with the bandit's speed, which alone even without missing an arm would be quite the achievement. But in truth, the human's real best attribute would be his capability to endure hits, his speed second to that but still impressively high. The usage of Intercept, a physical move, was the wise decision when fighting against the bandit when trying to raise up the tension in a fight for tactical attacks like those won't be his best choice in fights although it's best to secretly take care of the job instead of getting your hands all dirty. Not much to do about that but to keep on pressing forward.
The human was hit on the back of the head by a sudden kick that he used to his advantage later, but couldn't help but feel the pain once again - testing Gohan's strength on his own body once again. Though this time it wasn't a test. It would be luck or the Half-Saiyan's choice that the hit didn't come contacting a little lower than the back of the skull, for that joint could cause quite the damage and even make the human faint right away. Though, the bandit still had a trick up his sleeve and therefore used the impact from the blow and his usage of flying abilities to hover and perform a complete spin, raising his legs one after another up in the middle in an attempt to hit his opponent twice while still maintaining his balance.

Gohan had managed to get through Yamcha's defenses again. His kick didn't seem to do much damage though, not sending him flying through the air like he had expected. Not only was this human physically stronger in ratio with what Trunks had been but he also had much more control over himself. That was to be expected though, since the bandit was a seasoned warrior while Trunks had just been a kid... He would always be a kid as far as Gohan was concerned but it seemed the son of the Prince of Saiyans had already outgrown his teacher, as it seemed the young half saiyan had no longer needed Piccolo, although Gohan would do anything to have been able to finish his training with the Namekian rather than having to attempt to perfect it on the fly.
The warrior hadn't been expecting a return attack from his opponent immediately after Intercept though. The kicks smacked him, staggering him. He fell to a knee, obviously dazed momentarily. Gohan jumped backwards, putting distance between himself and Yamcha. The warrior needed a moment to think of how to gain the advantage. The more the two of them came toe-to-toe, the more damage he sustain in comparison to the bandit. Gohan wracked his brain as he tried to think of what Piccolo would do in this situation. He would probably attempt a sneak attack, yet that didn't seem like an honorable thing to do in a spar. The Namekian had been a master of tactics in fights against overwhelming power...

It appears as if Yamcha's attack was successful, or more likely, both attacks came from the human's action were successful enough to make the Half-Saiyan dazzled and jump back wondering what to do. As for Yamcha, he cockily endured the intensive pain he took to his head while hanging around flying upside-down with his face where his ankles should be and his hair all over the grassy field. He honestly didn't care, taking those two kicks directly would make him feel good and he jokingly wondered what to do, coming up with the next strategy. Obviously though, being too bad about his movements would make him more of a villain than a Z-Fighter actually, and also after witnessing Gohan's strength the bandit should have already understood that simple games don't just go easily there like that. It wasn't simply a game, but they were sparring just for fun after all.
Thus, he decided to get his state correct first, turning himself back to the regular gravity-resisting, standing-on-two-feet most humans go with. Then, he entered the very well known stance that would note his favorite combination. "Ready for another round?" He asked as he was about to jump at his opponent with a stream of attacks once again, using the Wolf Fang Fist. Though he was going to extend it a little longer, this fight really began to tire him out although he never really showed any signs of exhaustion. That's just the way he is, pride above anything else. But the human did show some honor and respect to the fighter from the future by going back to his regular stance and charging at him with what would seem first as a Wolf Fang Fist. "Get ready to get a load of my Wolf Fang Whirlwind Fist!! Haiyaah!!" He declared as he jumped forward to begin his combination.

"I'm always ready." Gohan said confidently, almost as if daring his opponent to come at him with everything he had again. The young warrior stood up, his chest puffing out as he defiantly stared at Yamcha. The human was obviously intent upon going until either Gohan said he was done or one of their bodies quit working in combat for a while. The half saiyan was already finding it difficult to move. His body ached in a way that it had not for around nine years. "Well if you're going to show me your move, let me show you something that I recently learned." He got into the stance preparing the attack that he had recently learned from Yamcha's old master, Master Roshi.
Gohan knew the bandit's signature attack, even if the first time he had ever dealt with it in battle had been today. The half saiyan prepared himself for the worst though, knowing that his opponent had already proved that he was quite masterful when it came to fighting. The young warrior did his best to parry Yamcha's blows as he came in a flurry of amazing speed and strength. The young warrior attempted to parry the blows until he deemed it to be the right time, although many painful blows jerked him about until Gohan considered it to be the right time. "Rock!" He swung a powerful fist aimed at the bandit's chest. "Paper!" The young warrior shouted, his flat palm shooting out at Yamcha's chin. "Scissors!" His arm retracting only to shoot forward with two of his fingers aiming at his opponent's eyes.

It appears as Gohan was doing exceedingly great in parrying all those attacks Yamcha threw at him, no normal person could ever keep up with that kind of speed even if they're a warrior. The human was indeed better skilled in close-combat and apparently speed as well, managing to land a few blows (if not nearly all) at the Half-Saiyan's body until the enemy came up with a counter-plan against the move. Unfortunately, the bandit already encountered this attack once in the past although he couldn't recall it so well at start, not getting himself ready for the incoming strikes of the other scared fighter. What he did know though, was that his body wouldn't be able to keep up too much longer with the target's continuous counter plans. He really did well in foiling direct attacks, didn't he.
The first part of the attack came crashing directly at Yamcha's chest, sending him backwards only to see soon the palm coming at his chin, also making direct contact - something which exhausted the human a little further. But by now he could recall where have he seen this attack already, remembering also its basic rules he made up against after fighting with the Saiyan "runt" (at that time) Goku, coincidentally the same person he's fighting being related to him by blood. Would that be fate? "Rock!!" He shouted as he directed a punch at the enemy's two fingers, following the common logic of the children's game: rock beats scissors, therefore his punch should land some damage on the opponent's hand. Following, the bandit sent out another clutched fist at his sparring partner's stomach, ending this by attempting a kick to his chin to raise him up, preparing for the next attack.
