Gohan had managed to injure his opponent in his blind rage, a tactic that had often been used when he had been a small child surrounded by beings of staggering amounts of power. Usually that had come in the form of a Masenko though. He had become more versatile since then, actually learning how to engage in more physical battles with his opponent. It occurred to him for a moment that perhaps the damage that he was inflicting on Eighteen wasn't as much as the amount that he was sustaining by forgoing defense yet that only flickered through his mind, incinerated by the flames of his rage. The young half saiyan was obviously having problems dealing with his past with his enemy.
Gohan grinned at the sight of blood leaking from Android Eighteen's mouth. The young man wasn't expecting a counterattack so soon yet the robotic terror didn't seem phazed in the slightest. She rushed at him, only to disappear and leave an Afterimage behind. He kicked at what seemed to be the android flying at him, only for his foot to go through the air unhindered by flesh or machinery. It immediately became obvious that his opponent was planning on landing a decisive blow or taking him out of the fight. The half saiyan warrior wasn't going to allow that though. His eyes scanned the area in front of him, up, down, left, right. Nothing, that only left one area, the one that would be the most difficult to detect an android from.
Gohan already knew that he was going to have trouble from this attack. He was beginning to feel weak from the fight and the injuries he had been receiving. "I'm not a child that needs to be told how to fight uncle." He growled, slowly spinning to face his opponent. There it was, the attack that was aimed directly at him. Gohan tensed his entire body, waiting for a moment as the wave approached him. He flung himself out of the way at the last moment, the blast catching his feet and sending him spinning as he fought for control. He finally managed to stop himself, his feet feeling as if they were ready to fall off at any moment. The blast continued on towards his uncle, who hopefully would just counter it rather than letting it destroy part of the city.
"Perhaps I'll be able to end this with a move familiar to dear uncle Raditz." Gohan muttered, mostly to himself. He raised his only hand to his forehead, sparks nearly immediately beginning to shoot out from his fingers as he charged his attack. The half saiyan's body arched outward, straining to produce the amount of ki the warrior was demanding. His eyes fluttered, exhaustion attempting to set in on him. "Do you think you can block any of my attacks with that barrier? You've already seen my most powerful one Eighteen. What do you think? Are you powerful enough to take anything I can throw at you?!" Gohan's muscles looked as if they were attempting to force their way out of his body, veins protruding in quite a few places on his forehead and only arm. "SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!" Gohan roared, firing the two beams from his extended two fingers, one circling the other as they zoomed at the android.

"I'm always ready." Gohan said confidently, almost as if daring his opponent to come at him with everything he had again. The young warrior stood up, his chest puffing out as he defiantly stared at Yamcha. The human was obviously intent upon going until either Gohan said he was done or one of their bodies quit working in combat for a while. The half saiyan was already finding it difficult to move. His body ached in a way that it had not for around nine years. "Well if you're going to show me your move, let me show you something that I recently learned." He got into the stance preparing the attack that he had recently learned from Yamcha's old master, Master Roshi.
Gohan knew the bandit's signature attack, even if the first time he had ever dealt with it in battle had been today. The half saiyan prepared himself for the worst though, knowing that his opponent had already proved that he was quite masterful when it came to fighting. The young warrior did his best to parry Yamcha's blows as he came in a flurry of amazing speed and strength. The young warrior attempted to parry the blows until he deemed it to be the right time, although many painful blows jerked him about until Gohan considered it to be the right time. "Rock!" He swung a powerful fist aimed at the bandit's chest. "Paper!" The young warrior shouted, his flat palm shooting out at Yamcha's chin. "Scissors!" His arm retracting only to shoot forward with two of his fingers aiming at his opponent's eyes.

Gohan had managed to get through Yamcha's defenses again. His kick didn't seem to do much damage though, not sending him flying through the air like he had expected. Not only was this human physically stronger in ratio with what Trunks had been but he also had much more control over himself. That was to be expected though, since the bandit was a seasoned warrior while Trunks had just been a kid... He would always be a kid as far as Gohan was concerned but it seemed the son of the Prince of Saiyans had already outgrown his teacher, as it seemed the young half saiyan had no longer needed Piccolo, although Gohan would do anything to have been able to finish his training with the Namekian rather than having to attempt to perfect it on the fly.
The warrior hadn't been expecting a return attack from his opponent immediately after Intercept though. The kicks smacked him, staggering him. He fell to a knee, obviously dazed momentarily. Gohan jumped backwards, putting distance between himself and Yamcha. The warrior needed a moment to think of how to gain the advantage. The more the two of them came toe-to-toe, the more damage he sustain in comparison to the bandit. Gohan wracked his brain as he tried to think of what Piccolo would do in this situation. He would probably attempt a sneak attack, yet that didn't seem like an honorable thing to do in a spar. The Namekian had been a master of tactics in fights against overwhelming power...

Gohan's body slumped for a moment, quite a bit of his energy having gone into his most powerful attack. Perhaps it wasn't smart to expend that much at the beginning of the fight. Android 18's ability to create a barrier was rather confounding. This meant that most of his head one attacks wouldn't be effective unless they surprised her. He would either have to somehow keep his attack out of sight, or he would have to try a different tactic to somehow injure the cyborg. Gohan knew a move that would penetrate that barrier... perhaps he could use Eighteen's pride in her own power her downfall. "Perhaps I could use a move that you're rather familiar with next time, uncle." The young warrior said, still feeling rather weak after that Hyper Masenko.
"It's good to see that I'm not that only one that's only a shadow of his former self." Gohan could only imagine how he would be able to fight in a city full of people as a Super Saiyan against this murderous android. The half saiyan was sure that the results would be very... destructive. At least his ki wave had managed to inflict some damage, although the young man knew that it wouldn't slow down the female at all. He would have to continue to assault Eighteen until she was destroyed or whatever powered her was inhibited by damage. And of course the female warrior rushed him, coming in with a barrage of blows, probably hoping to end the fight by knocking him out. Gohan had a surprise for her though.
Unable to dodge or block the first blow, he took the fist to his face, grunting in pain. The young warrior's head jerked to the side before he finally got back into the action. The two moved at a blur to all of the spectators except for Raditz. Gohan was able to block most of the attacks that were thrown his way, yet a few managed to slip through while he attempted to return fire. "I WILL KILL HER!" He screamed, unable to think clearly between his hatred for the androids, his need to protect those he thought the android would kill, and the current fight. He redoubled his efforts, intent upon destroying Eighteen. His focus was now much more offensive, letting more attacks hit him while his attacks became more ferocious with more strength and speed behind them. It was obvious that his body was becoming damaged enough to begin hindering him.

Gohan had a horrible nightmare this afternoon. It had involved enormous loads of milk and constant delivering. They all had the face of a ridiculous man on the side of them as well, his hair all poofy and a silly mustache hanging down around his mouth. The young man started when Neylo woke him up, for a moment seeing just another load of milk that he needed to take elsewhere. "Phew. Scary dream." Gohan said, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, one at a time. He looked at the red alien as he tried to clear his thoughts for a moment. He sat up, twisting and putting his feet over the side of the hammock so that he could sit up. He let out a loud yawn, his eyes shut tight as his arm and a half reached towards the sky, popping his back.
"Heya Neylo. It was a nice day outside so I figured that I could use a rest before our spar." Gohan tilted his head, until a pop emanated from it then he did it the other way as well. The half saiyan stood up, rolling his shoulders to work out the grogginess of having just woken up. He could feel a new found power rolling off of Neylo. Apparently since the last time they had met his friend had decided that it was time to make himself more powerful. An intelligent move, yet the young man was almost certain that he had only seen the tip of the iceberg so far. Gohan understood the need to gain more strength to protect loved ones. That had been the reason that he had turned Super Saiyan for the first time. "You ready for our spar?"

Gohan could only wonder how long this spar could last after they had used some rather powerful attacks such as the Special Beam Cannon and Kamehameha. This had always been one of the largest problems when fighting the androids. While the half saiyan could only manage to fight for a certain amount of time, the duo never seemed to weaken in the slightest. Gohan either had to end it quickly enough or be able to endure long fights. Yamcha didn't seem to be having the same problem with stamina though. The bandit just seemed like he was going to keep on at the same pace without slowing down. If that was the case then the warrior would just have to be the equal, if not better, of his opponent.
Gohan had done this for long enough for his next attack to work. He used Intercept, disappearing only to appear behind Yamcha. It was often easier to use this technique to end skirmishes between any two fighters. He had done it to Trunks once to try and help him learn faster yet it might have been to harsh of a measure. Gohan brought his foot up in a powerful kick that would either hit his opponent in the back of the head, the chin, if he turned fast enough, or air if Yamcha managed to dodge it. It was the only physical technique that he had ever made and practiced, a point of pride for the young man.

Gohan had told Neylo to meet him at Kame House. The red-skinned alien hadn't known where that was so the half saiyan gave the alien directions. It wasn't that difficult, it was in a rather deserted stretch of ocean. The young man had wanted to come here to check on Alexi anyways. She seemed to be settling in fine for now, yet Launch didn't seem to be in a good mood today. He had informed Master Roshi that he expected a friend to arrive and spar with him, not wanting the old man to be scared by a large approaching power level. Gohan had decided to treat himself to lunch on the turtle hermit, devouring large amounts of food as befit his saiyan heritage. It wasn't often that a saiyan warrior didn't eat an enormous amount of food.
The young man decided to relax as he waited for Neylo. Gohan stretched a hammock between two of the trees, laying there as he let the wind rock him to sleep. He drifted off rather quickly, the sound of the waves lulling him to sleep. The warrior didn't look nearly as fierce lying there in sleep, dreaming. He rolled over, using his arms as pillows as the hammock rocked precariously with its rather heavy load. The half saiyan snored loudly, drool beginning to run down the side of his cheek as he slept. He tossed and turned in his sleep, obviously restless. Gohan hadn't had very many good night sleeps since the androids had attacked.

"Almost back to square one. I think it counts as square two still. My ribs still hurt... a lot." Gohan rubbed his bruised ribs to accentuate his point, wondering what Yamcha considered a finishing move for a moment. Perhaps it was a move that could easily kill. A move meant to finish fights, that made sense. He'd try to avoid using those then. The half saiyan was confident in his ability to defeat the bandit. He knew that they were on nearly even terms, the human being more powerful physically while he had more skill with ki attacks and blasts. They were very similar in power though, enough for the spar to end up in either of their favor's. Gohan was determined not to lose to this man, knowing that he was the fighter with more resolve.
Yamcha approached in a rush, obviously coming to engage in a flurry of blows. It had been a while since the half saiyan had done something like that. It shouldn't be too hard, since he had adapted his fighting style to attempt to defeat two foes while he had one arm. Gohan's punches, kicks, and parries may have been slightly slower than his opponents, yet the pain that the bandit was dealing was unreal. He had been one of the most powerful beings in the universe and now here he was, fighting a being that had been killed by a Saibaman. It was unreal how fates could twist. The bandit was obviously winning the exchange of attacks, hitting slightly harder and more quickly.

Gohan grimaced as he saw his powerful cannon going spiraling past Yamcha and farther into the woods. It would eventually explode upon something once it became too weak. He could only hope it wouldn't go far enough to be dangerous, recalling the first time that it had ever been used it blew a large hole through the mountainside behind his uncle, who had barely managed to dodge the attack. Perhaps he had been too lax in his training to allow what was usually an ill-motivated member of the powerful fighters of this planet. Gohan hadn't seen the bandit train unless immediate danger was presented to them, although he supposed that perhaps the reduction of power levels and other more dastardly things might qualify in Yamcha's mind.
"Good rule. Maybe I should try something simpler." Although Gohan couldn't quite avoid laughing at the small tantrum that his opponent was throwing. It was ridiculous, a grown man stomping around in anger over a small cut on his face. "I just got caught up in the moment. The only person I've sparred with in a long time was Trunks and he was a lot weaker than me when we did." He shrugged, as if to dismiss the action out of hand, although his gut was roiling as he had almost injured a man that he had known most of his life. Gohan put on the most serious face he could muster, waiting for the spar to restart.

Gohan decided that it was time for another round of training in intense amounts of gravity. The half saiyan could only imagine the amounts of training that everyone else had to be doing, if he wanted to keep up and surpass everyone, he had to rigorously exercise even when his muscles already ached from previous workouts. His arm was especially sullen that it had to once again be moved. The warrior was going to persevere though, determined that he would surpass his father, Mister Piccolo, and perhaps even his uncle Raditz, who was surprisingly powerful in comparison to anyone else that he knew existed at the moment. Gohan could only imagine what his proud saiyan uncle had gone through to obtain that power.
The half saiyan quickly pressed the buttons for forty times gravity, immediately feeling the pressure pushing him down. It was a strain although mostly since his body was already tired from yesterday's training. Gohan had decided it was time for an alternative training regiment. He had brought a backpack and some household items that he had managed to acquire and put them within the gravity training chamber. He planned on spending at least the next twenty four hours within this chamber with 40x the gravity of Earth pelting him every moment. He sat down in the chair he had felt, trying to act casually as he sat there.
Five hour laters, Gohan was beginning to find it difficult to concentrate. He had simply been sitting there, drinking a cup of tea that he had made when something inside of him snapped. He felt as if all of his energy had just drained out of him. The half saiyan slumped in his chair, struggling to think. The warrior stared at the floor, vaguely wondering where he was. His eyelids floated down, covering his eyes for a moment before he stood, flipping the chair and letting the cup fall to the ground and dent, having been metal since he couldn't actually be porcelain here. He growled, renewing his determination to continue, he knew that he had to!
Twelve hours later, the young man had finished eating all of the food that he had brought... which had been quite a copious amount. Gohan had devoured the food, feeling a surge in his energy. It was good that he had managed to keep himself moving fine. The World Martial Arts Tournament was coming up and if he could just continue to keep himself in this amount of gravity, everything should seem forty times lighter when he actually had to fight. The half saiyan was beginning to feel more relaxed here, less strained, yet it still felt as if he was trying on his father's weighted clothing again. That had been an experience he had never tried again once he had done it as a child.
Gohan casually sat in his chair, reclining. He was obviously at ease. It was almost as if there wasn't any amplification of the gravity that he was used to here. The twenty four hour mark was almost up and the young man was ready to go sleep. He checked the clock on the computer that controlled the amount of gravity, which proclaimed that his allotted time in the gravity chamber was finally up. He stood up, taking the items that he had brought outside. Gohan almost felt as if he was going to float off of the world as he stepped outside. It was as if this was the unnatural gravity to his body at the moment. Confident in himself, he left the Briefs' estate.

Gohan was rather shocked that his blast could simply be block for a moment by the Spirit Ball. He had been nearly certain that it would just blow through it. Not only that but the bandit moved as his Masenko continued on, blasting through a few trees before it dwindled off. He was nearly certain that he had a higher power level than Yamcha... perhaps he shouldn't have held back nearly as much as he had. He took in a deep gulp of breath, wondering how that Spirit Ball had reacted. Not only had the human being controlling it but it had more strength than your average attack. It was rather disconcerting to see the thing that had been expected to end the fight for the moment shoot off into the forest the surrounded the clearing.
"One of those? I could respond in kind... or I could use a slightly different move." Gohan put two fingers to his forehead, his entire body straining as he did as Piccolo had taught him. His fingers began to crackle, almost as if with electricity. A yellow glow began to surround his fingers as he poured large amounts of ki into his finger. Perhaps this wasn't the best move to use when a large blue beam of energy was shooting directly towards you. "Speciaaaaal... Beam... CANNON!" Gohan roared, his fingers shooting two beams, one heading directly towards the center of his opponent's attack while the other one circled the first. It was made as a piercing move, originally made to kill his father but since then had been used on a number of occasions to help. The Kamehameha wave was close to him, much too close to win if Gohan's attack wasn't properly formed, yet hopefully it would simply move through the Kamehameha.

Gohan felt a twinge of regret and guilt in his gut as what had once been his student was sent flying through a building by his uncle. The purple haired youth had been the person that had been closest to him while he had still been alive. "I'd tell you who that was uncle but then you'd laugh at him and his father." He stared forlornly at the hole for a moment, wondering if the injured Trunks would be ok. Gohan wished that Eighteen had been that easy to deal with, the android firmly not being taken by surprise nearly as much as the other half saiyan had been. At least the joint assault against him had been effectively repelled by Raditz. It was fortunate that the saiyan warrior had shown up just in time to help him.
"Nothing. It would take too long to explain something that I don't get yet. That's why I came here." Gohan could only wonder where the Trunks that he had come with was, seeing as that Trunks hadn't known anything. The saiyan seemed to be enjoying this moment though, slapping his knee and laughing. Although the half saiyan couldn't quite understand the sentiment, he knew that it was fortunate that his uncle had sent the Bulma's son flying through that wall. "This... android and her brother are the reason I'm missing an arm." He spat the sentence with hate, his eyes once more locked upon the object of his hatred.
Gohan felt a surge of mixed emotions within him when Raditz announced that he was going to let the fight between himself and Android Eighteen finish. Something of satisfaction warred with doubt and anger that she wouldn't be dismantled on the spot. "You're too kind uncle Raditz. I would like nothing more than to tear this conniving robot and her brother apart." Gohan put a hand over his head, charging his most powerful attack that he could muster. He planned on ending this right here and now. "MASENKO, HA!" He quickly charged his most powerful attack, the Hyper Masenko, and fired it at Android 18. While it wouldn't be as powerful as it would have been if he had waited for a moment, hopefully it would catch the woman by surprise.
